Marta S. Bergamini, Principal

Mrs. Bergamini has been an educator for fourteen years. During this time, she taught Spanish to first through eighth grades and established herself as the lead teacher for the district. In 2007, she was awarded the Governor's Teacher Recognition Award. In 2008, she was recognized for her work improving the professional development of teachers. Mrs. Bergamini holds a masters degree in Educational Leadership.

Mrs. Bergamini believes that the success of all students at TECCS will be due to:

1. establishing an atmosphere where acting in an ethical manner by encouraging fairness and honesty is the norm.
2. recognizing and fostering the natural ability of students by creating an environment where an inquisitive mind is encouraged.
3. offering the latest in instructional programs, which will contribute to staff and student growth.
4. cultivating an atmosphere of collaboration with all the parents and the community.

Kathleen P. Mone, School Business Administrator

Kathleen P. Mone holds an MPA in Education from Columbia University.  She has 28 years of experience in school business administration.  She was with the New York City Board of Education for 22 years, serving in as Assistant to the Director of Building Services, as Business Manager of Citywide Special Education and as the Unit Budget Director for all Bronx and Manhattan Schools.  She has been with Elysian Charter School for the past six years, where she will continue part-time while serving as the School Business Administrator of The Ethical Community Charter School. She welcomes the challenge of opening a new school and providing educators and the community with efficient and effective business services.  She is committed to the goal of minimizing administrative expenses and funneling maximum funding into the classroom for the educational benefit of the students.
