Dear Families,
As you all know there had been much talk and concern about the upcoming flu season and the effect the anticipated H1N1 strain
(Swine Flu) will have on it. As always, a good defense begins with a good offense and, as a precaution, we are taking preventative measures from the beginning of the school year.
- HANDWASHING
- cough into tissue or bend of elbow instead of your hands (we know this looks rude, but it is very effective).
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- Keep children home when they are sick, especially with a fever, vomiting or diarrhea and being fever free for 24 to 48 hrs before returning to school (this is fever free without the use of Tylenol or Motrin)
- As of yet a H1N1 vaccine is still being tested. When information is available, I will pass it on to you.
As always if you have any concerns or questions please feel free to contact me at school (201)984-4152. I will be keeping you updated as new information is passed along.
Sincerely,
Peggy Weiss, RN, CSN
