Applying to TECCS:

All TECCS students are selected by public lottery. Based on the lottery results, applicants are either accepted or placed on the waiting list. Wait-listed families are notified as seats in the appropriate grade open up.

The school must fill its spots with Jersey City applicants before it can accept any out of town applicants. Additionally, in an effort to keep family members together, siblings are given preference in the lottery. No other preference is given to any student in the enrollment process for any reason.

Attention 2012-13 Applicant Families: 

All applications are due on January 10. Our enrollment lottery will be held January 19 at TECCS.

Names will be drawn to offer places in the 2012-13 kindergarten class to 40 applicants. All other kindergarten applicants will be placed on the waiting list, in order determined by the lottery drawing.

Currently we have immediate openings in 3rd grade. All 2011-12 applicants for September's grades K-3 were entered into the lottery to determine the order of the waiting list. As some families move over the summer and through out the year, students from the waiting list stand a good chance of being accepted to the school.

TECCS will be calling all applicants' families with the lottery results. Official letters will follow in the mail. Accepted families are asked to return their signed enrollment forms by February 3rd (Friday).
